Stack scrap 2x4's across the front, about 4 or 5 high to make the front of the blind higher.

Throw a couple of scrap pieces in the middle to support the length of the 2x6's.

Cut 4 2x6's to 7' in length. Overhang equal lengths off of the front and back of the blind and about 2 1/2" off of each side of the blind.

Lay OSB across the 2x6's, add felt, drip edge (very important) then shingle. You should be able to get shingles from your local Habitat resale store for $5 per bundle. Three bundles are enough.
